Morso’s S81 Insert

Morso’s new S81 insert stove is a new product I feel is worth blogging about. Designed to fit in a standard UK fire opening (16x22”), with a 4KW output, this will heat the average UK sitting room and be installed with minimal fuss. Excellent quality of finish, plus good looks you come to expect from Morso. Defra approved.

This is a non internet product, please call our showroom on 01484 846055 for details.

In other news, we are now on Facebook and Twitter! Please either ‘like’ or ‘follow’ us for up to the minute updates.

Spring Open Day 21st April 2012

It’s awfully tempting to say Saturdays’ open day was a ‘roaring’ success but, I’ll resist the temptation to roll out the fire based puns! It was however a great success and a very enjoyable day for both ourselves and we hope the customers who came in for a look. Certainly everyone was more than happy with Rosemary’s ‘Ultimate home made chocolate cookies!’

The new Hunter Eco-Ideal 6 proved to be very popular, as did Broseleys Evolution 5 and of course the Charnwood C-four. The extensive Aarrow, Broseley, Hunter and Villager displays in the new showroom area looked superb!

Also drafted into action for the open day was the Broseley Suprema Wood Burning  Cooker which did a brilliant job cooking sausages to perfection for staff and customers alike. That said both myself and Keith already have perhaps too much experience when it comes to cooking sausages on the Suprema, as our waistlines will testify!

We would like to thank Richard Thomas of Hunter/Parkray and his wife Jane, Richard Game of Aarrow/Villager, Steve Cooper of Broseley/Lotus and Nick Whitwam of Yorkshire Flue Specialists for sparing their time to attend the open day. Of course the biggest thanks goes to customers old and new who we had the pleasure of meeting and advising, we hope you enjoyed the day too!

For now it’s business as usual but for those who missed the open day we’re planning an ‘open weekend’ on the 22nd and 23rd of September 2012. Of course you can visit us anytime and we will be only too happy to help. We offer big discounts on stoves year round!

That’s all that’s to say for now, I’ll leave you with some pictures of our improved showroom and hope to see you soon!

The Eco-Ideal under fire, we’ve been quite impressed by the performance and usabilty of this stove.

Not for the faint hearted! Keith adding the finishing touches to the Eco-Ideal installation.

All Change!

With spring being a traditionally quiet time in the stove & fireplace industry and the fact that our open day is fast approaching, it seemed an ideal time to make some improvements to our already huge showroom! A large skip was hired a couple of weeks ago and we set about getting rid of our old tile displays to make space for new stoves. Stoves from Aarrow, Broseley, Villager and Hunter were brought up from our warehouse (no mean feat when the showroom is on the second floor of a Victorian mill!) and we’re currently arranging the stoves to display, as well as improving the lighting in the new space. A new Hunter Eco 6 multi-fuel stove is also going on live display.

Work in progress!!!

Packaging from the new display stoves, quite a pile!

Keith gets down to the technical stuff…changing a light bulb!

Getting there…

Our open day is on Saturday 21st April, 9am till 5pm. Speak to manufacturer representatives. Free log basket, logs, glass cleaner and gloves with all stoves ordered on the day.

Charnwood Island and Cove range

In February we are having a special promotion of Charnwood Island III’s and all of the Cove range.

The huge fire grate in the Island III was aimed at the French market as they use logs much longer than our average 300mm size. If you cut your own wood and can use the considerable heat output, then the Charnwood Island III is the stove for you.

The Cove range also features the quatroflow air system and the class leading dual position riddling grate, standard on all Charnwood’s premium range i.e. Island’s and Cove’s. The height and large glass area of the Cove III, that can also take the larger European style logs, gives probably the most impressive flame picture of any wood burning stove.

Smallest in the Cove range is the Cove I. Flexibility is the main feature of this stove. There is the Cove 1 smoke reduction model that enables the legal burning of wood within a smokeless zone. Also available are three different stands plus various colour options to customise the appearance of the stove to match any surroundings.

Contact us, either by e mail or phone to discuss your requirements and prices. Sometimes the best is not the most expensive. We think you will be pleasantly surprised.

February Promotion

Now everything has settled back down to normal, we have had time to reflect on how busy we have been on the run up to Christmas. Once again it fell on the same date as always but, as usual, it took everyone (us included) by surprise. Normal service has been resumed, thanks for all your patience and we hope that all enjoyed the break.

The unusually high demand has led, inevitably, to long lead times from some manufacturers, notably Charnwood and Hunter. Fortunately we have managed to maintain stock of most models so we should be able to continue to despatch stoves straight away, see relevant pages to check availability or why not contact us to see how we can help

Increasing costs in raw materials have meant that a few manufacturers have announced increased prices. Dunsley in November, Morso in January and Broseley and Westfire in February. It’s worth watching the prices of these stoves if you are thinking of buying, but for the moment we will increase discounts to keep prices unchanged so why wait and enquire about a stove with us today.
